DIMVA 2018 will be held at the CEA Nano-Innov Campus, at the heart of Campus Paris-Saclay, 20 kms south of Paris. The site is accessible by car and by public transportation.
The address of the campus is:
8 avenue de la Vauve
91120 PALAISEAU
How to get to Campus Paris-Saclay
By car, you can take either road N118 from the southwestern part of Paris, or road A6 from Porte d’Orléans or Porte d’Italie.
You should not encounter serious traffic jams in the morning when driving from Paris downtown to the southern suburbs.
The safest way to reach the campus is still through public transportation. Get on RER B bound for Saint-Rémy-les-Chevreuse/Gif-sur-Yvette/Massy-Palaiseau/Orsay-Ville, and get off at Massy-Palaiseau station.
A map of the whole line can be found here and timetables there.
From there, bus lines 91.06B, 91.06C and 91.10 all stop at Nano-Innov (stop at Corbeville).
You can also stop at Le Guichet station (RER B) and then walk through the forest to Nano-Innov (15-20mns).
4 volunteers will show you the way at Massy Palaiseau RER station:
1) once you are getting off the train, climb the stairs or elevators towards the walkway
2) walk southeastwards to the street
3) take down the stairs
4) walk southwestwards to the 91.06B/C and 91.10 bus station.
The orientation scheme at Massy-Palaiseau station can be found below:
A bigger version can be found HERE.
A similar scheme will be deployed at Le Guichet RER B station.
If coming by plane, it may be wise to land at Orly airport, which is closer to the venue than CDG airport.
Detailed information, including routes from CDG and Orly airports are provided here.
A map of the bus lines and bus schedules can be found here and there.
Accommodation advice
The organization committee advise the future attendees to find accommodation along the RER B line or close to the conference venue. Especially, accommodations at Bourg-la-Reine, Antony, Massy, Orsay, or Le Guichet can be convenient.
For hotels very close to the venue, see for example:
– Hôtel d’Orsay (close to Le Guichet, walk up to Nano-Innov)
– Hôtel Campanile Paris Saclay (bus to Nano-Innov)
– Hôtel B&B Paris-Saclay (bus to Nano-Innov)
For those of you who wish to stay in Paris downtown, we recommend to find an accommodation close to RER B stations, south of Chatelet.
The organization committe wishes to notify the future attendees that a train strike will occur on June 27 and 28, with very limited impact on your routes if you stay south of Gare du Nord (but the north part of RER B line may be blocked). Long-distance trains (TGV, Eurostar, Thalys) should not be impacted by the strike.
